Amazing Animals

I don't remember what these notes are meant to tell us but Mr Arril has always been quite meticulous. This was from Amazing Animals we did for the Disney Channel and Partridge Films

Chapman at NY Comic Con

The Directors and Producers had a panel slot at the NY Comic Con last weekend and spoke about the film and showed some stills and two clips. One clip being our song section. This was them enticing people into the auditorium. There was a big crowd, Mr Jeff sent us a video of the crowds reaction whilst watching the song. It was lovely to see.

The Other One

This is a picture showing just some of the drawings that make up a section of a dance routine. Jane Davies is the Director of our section, she did a lot of the pointing, some of the animation and most of the moaning. A lot of late nights staring into a screen and eating. What she ended up with was bad eye site and an extra stone in body fat. All she demanded was 3D confetti. She got it in the end, thanks to Mr Paul. Told you he was clever.

So here is my new logo. It's my new outfit to go with the Chapman 3D project. I am going to constantly have new logos that reflect the mood and work that is going on here. But for now, this is what I look like. Thank you Miss Leah.

Mr Pauls Turn

Here is a screen shot from Paul Hill's computer. Mr Paul, Miss Leah and Miss Jane all came up with the initial approach for the section from the Chapman 3D project section and he made sure it all worked out stereoscopic wise which is no easy task. We delivered the final files today and barring final technical issues everything went smoothly. Baring rendering issues etc.
So together with all of that plus compositing, lighting, rendering, building, cups of tea, and much more, this section wouldn't be half as good as it ended up being.
Mr Paul is very clever. He doesn't like it when we say that.

After Effects

Here is a picture of one of the computers mid build on one of the scenes, this computer belongs to Peter Northcott. Mr Peter built many of the sets in After Effects, piecing together (in a 3D space) all the separate elements from Miss Leah and the animation from either Miss Jane or Mr Chris. All the after effects work was skillfully done by Mr Peter and Mr Paul (more on him later).

Here is a close up of just one of the many characters in our section. The majority of it was animated by Miss Jane and Mr Christopher Bowles. Mr Chris did the pigeon. He also did the Bum Bongos©. It's all you need to know.

Paint Palette

Here is what is left of Miss Leah's paint palette. You can see all the colours used on the Chapman project. All the backgrounds were hand painted by Leah-Ellen Heming who is the Art Director on our section. She also designed all the characters which we still haven't managed to count them all yet. There were over 50 characters in the last scene alone.

This is the production chart for our section! All done. Just some after effects tinkering that Mr Paul and Mr Pete are doing right now ready for the big 3D review tomorrow. So so so so so so happy with how it has turned out. The clients are also very very happy which makes all the hard work worth while.

3D BG Plans

Here is a fuzzy photo of some plans for most of the main back ground elements for the sets of each scene. Each element surface (like walls floor and plants) was planned out to size and file names so when the painted elements were painted they could be outputted again and updated in the after effects project. A total of 22 scenes in this song number.

3D layout

Here is a still from one of the shots in it's rough stage. The Chapman Project is in 3D stereoscope so we have built every sc in 3D (after the initial 2D layout drawing) and then all the sets get dressed by the art director (every individual element is hand painted) and the animation put into the 3D space. This is how we work out the layout and space for everything so we can get on with the animation whilst also working out sizes and positions etc.
